Logical AND and OR: Make Decisions on Multiple Conditions Simultaneously
Lesson Description

 

The logical "and" operation takes in two boolean (true or false) values and returns true if all values are 1 (true), otherwise false if at least one value is 0 (false). 

The logical "or" takes in two boolean values and returns true if at least one value is 1 (true), and false if both values are 0 (false).

Example 1: Logical "AND" and "OR" Statements: Drive the Robot to a Specified xy Coordinate

Drive the robot to the point (0, 5) when a random integer is from 10 to 20, to the point (5, 5) if it is less than 8 or greater than 25, and otherwise to the point (5, 0).
Example 2: Logical "AND" Statements: Drive the Robot to a Specified xy Coordinate

Drive the robot to the point (0, 5) when a random integer between 1 and 100 is even and greater than 50, to the point (5, 5) if it is odd and less than 50, and otherwise to the point (5, 0).
