In the previous lesson we learned how to use the Linkbot to trace a square.

We used the  driveDistance  and  turn  blocks four times in a row. We told the Linkbot to drive 18, then turn right, drive 18, then turn right, and so on for the third and fourth sides. In programming we often have to repeat the same code several times in a row.

Instead of writing the same blocks over and over, we can use what's known as a "loop." A Loop will repeat blocks that we put inside of it a number of times. This is known as a "repeat loop."
